How to Take An Effective Mental Health Day

Make It Stand Out.

Everyone has to deal with different levels of stress and life events. Sometimes taking a mental health day - a day off specifically geared towards stress relief - is the best thing you can do for yourself. Plan ahead, and take the day off ahead of time, so you can fully enjoy the day! Decide what you need the most out of the day, really reflecting on your personal needs. Do you need to relax? Have some fun? Make some changes? Enjoy making plans for your day!

Remember that your mental health is just as important to your overall well-being as your physical health. Just like our bodies, your mind needs time to rest and recover. Give your brain a break and do activities that you enjoy. Think of a mental health day as a regular tune-up, not damage control! Here are a few ideas of things you can do to increase your mental health:
