Michael is a member of the American Medical Billers Association.  He completed classes in Medical Billing and Medical Administration at Normandale Community College in 2015. Michael has worked in various administrative positions over the last decade.  He is also an author of three novels and as a storyteller has performed on stage at the Minnesota Fringe Festival and Storyfest MN.  Married to a mental health provider himself, Michael has a passion for growth and development of counseling centers by streamlining their billing and gaining the best understanding of the industry from an insurance perspective.

Melanie has 11+ years of experience, including consulting & managing billing services for behavioral health clinicians. Over the years, she has gained an understanding of the behavioral health and insurance world, providing services to individual providers and large centers. With precise troubleshooting skills, Melanie utilize's multiple practice management and insurance systems to reconcile the most challenging issues. An expertise, only a few have mastered in behavioral health!


Melanie's most recent venture, includes partnering with an up-and-coming Electronic Health Records company, utilizing her expertise, experience and desire for a less complicated (EHR) software.  A program that manages a clinics entire financial and documentation needs, allowing both the staff and billing company access to streamline their entire practice.

Kelly Duffy - account manager


Kelly specializes in mental health billing and has 15 years of experience. She is extremely detail orientated in data management, with accuracy and speed.  Kelly's strengths are in billing conversions, meeting deadlines, working with insurance companies to get claims and appeals paid in a timely manor, with excellent client and patient phone support. She also trains and oversees the providers and employees on the basics of mental health billing process & procedures. Kelly loves her work and holds herself to the same standard as our clients would like us to provide for them.

JEN MILAND - account manager


Jen has 18+ years insurance experience, including entering and processing medical & mental health claims for Mayo Clinic Health Solutions.  Over those many years she has gained much understanding of how commercial and government insurance works, and has provided excellent customer service to both members and providers. Previous to MMSI, Jen worked as a Dental Assistant/Office Manager doing the claims/billing and collections for the providers. She has been working alongside VIBE for the previous year, assisting on billing projects and navigating the mental health insurance benefits.
